Our Story

Intelligence Without
Compromise

Founded by former intelligence analysts, foreign correspondents, and strategic advisors who believed the world deserved better geopolitical analysis — free from political bias and corporate influence.

Mission

Why Phantom Chronicles Exists

The world's most consequential decisions are made in rooms most people never see, by actors whose motivations are rarely what they claim. Mainstream media covers the surface — we go beneath it.

Phantom Chronicles was built on a single conviction: that rigorous, independent geopolitical analysis should be accessible to anyone who wants to understand how the world actually works — not just how it's presented.

We don't take sides. We don't have advertisers to protect. We follow the evidence wherever it leads, and we tell you what we find — clearly, honestly, and without the diplomatic hedging that makes most analysis useless.

What We Stand For

Editorial Independence

No government funding. No corporate sponsors. No political affiliations. Our analysis is accountable only to the evidence and our readers.

Source Verification

Every claim is cross-referenced against multiple independent sources. We distinguish clearly between confirmed facts, credible assessments, and speculation.

Regional Expertise

Our analysts have lived and worked in the regions they cover. We don't parachute in — we maintain deep, long-term networks on the ground.

Structural Analysis

We look beyond events to the underlying forces — economic incentives, historical patterns, institutional constraints — that determine how situations actually unfold.

Radical Transparency

When we get something wrong, we say so — publicly and prominently. Our corrections policy is as rigorous as our original reporting standards.

Actionable Intelligence

Analysis that doesn't help you understand what comes next is just commentary. Every report ends with clear implications and scenario assessments.

How We Work

Our Methodology

01
Primary Source Priority

We prioritise original documents, official statements, and direct testimony over secondary reporting. When we cite secondary sources, we say so explicitly and explain why primary sources were unavailable.

02
Multi-Perspective Analysis

Every major analysis considers the strategic logic from multiple actors' perspectives — including those we disagree with. Understanding why a state behaves as it does is not the same as endorsing that behaviour.

03
Scenario-Based Forecasting

We don't make single-point predictions. We present probability-weighted scenarios with explicit assumptions, so readers can update their own assessments as new information emerges.

04
Peer Review Process

All major reports are reviewed by at least two analysts before publication. For sensitive topics, we consult external specialists and, where appropriate, seek comment from relevant parties.

05
Corrections & Accountability

Errors are corrected prominently and immediately. We maintain a public corrections log. Analysts who make significant errors explain what went wrong and why — publicly.
